Powered by Select Sport America and New World Sports it’s simply the largest and most competitive winter goalkeeper camp in the country, where pedigree goalkeeper coaches fully licensed with a long history of playing and coaching at a very high level meet up in Port Orange Florida to bring the best goalkeeper training on two soccer field for three morning. 12 hours of intensive and advanced goalkeeping.
The camp will be capped at 60 goalkeepers, this to ensure that the ratio between coach and goalkeeper is no larger than 1:6 (one coach every six goalkeepers). The coaching roster is very impressive: Mauricio Alvarado, Pepe Rodriguez, Diego Amaro, Ross Dalton, Rick Zucchi, Emily Lamoreaux, Josh Anderson and special guests Cesar Baena (Orlando City first team goalkeeper coach) and Dave Guinn (ex Wales GK Trainer).
Throughout the 3 morning camp each goalkeeper will get to train with every coach for at least one session lasting 60 minutes, each coach will cover a different topic based on the age group they will be working with.
Groups are usually based on age group (10-12, 13-14, 15, 16, 17-18) but if a goalkeeper proves on day one to be at a higher level than the group they were assigned to then they will be moved up to a higher age group. All groups are coed, in order that both boys and girls receive the same training and treatment.
The thing that distinguishes our Goalkeeper Academy from the others is that we have on our coaches camp roster goalkeeper trainers from all backgrounds. Academy, DI College and Professional goalkeeper coaches. So it makes no difference if you’re a young goalkeeper at their first years in the role or if you’re a goalkeeper ready to move to college, we have the goalkeeper trainers that will fit your needs at this camp.
Our 2024 Winter Goalkeeper Camp will take place in Port Orange Florida, a beautiful beach town just 2 miles from the sea and 3 miles away from the world famous beach “Daytona Beach”. It is perfect for a winter vacation, with over 250 hotels to pick from, just 45 minutes drive from Orlando International Airport.
